#CoffeeIsPeople is something we hope everyone will remember on the day that has extended to multiple days we are calling #internationalcoffeeday2015 | Juanita is a coffee farmer in our network of over 2000 women farmers in our home of #Uganda. She is a widow and had 9 children in her care. A so-called “grassroots” and #fairtrade cooperative has been buying her beans through a middleman #coyote at about 10% of the average global market price #unfairtrade … Moreover the co-op that has a great reputation for training farmers has never even visited Juanita and the farmers around her. When we informed her that the yellow spots on her leaves were a fungus called Coffee Leaf Rust, she was heartbroken as she had been told that it was a result of leaves getting old. | What are you drinking today? Where did it come from? Forget what others have told you, there is right and wrong in the coffee industry and your morning iced mocha is either a part of the problem or a part of the solution. #brewingbetter Endiro CoffeeOctober 2, 2015Comment Facebook0 Twitter 0 Likes
